For a casual or old design, you can pick up a font that looks somewhat time-worn and thus remove the pattern from its official state. Peckham Press as a sans serif font with giant letterform can get you there.
Although it has two sets of capitals that vary in the faded parts but doesn’t support lowercase, numbers, and most of the punctuation. Put Peckham Press in your upcoming designs for example posters, covers, illustrations, and sundries.
